December 14 House of Representatives expected adjournment.
November 16 House of Representatives adjourns until December 5. The Senate remains in pro forma sessions with no votes taken until December 4.
November 08 The House (274-141) and Senate (56-37) pass Labor-HHS-ED Conference Report for consideration by the President. IRA Rollover tax extension passes the House within the AMT bill. The House Judiciary Committee reports out the A.R.T.S bill by voice vote.
November House and Senate conferees expected to meet on Labor-HHS-ED appropriations bill. The U.S. Senate is expected to consider FY08 Interior Appropriations bill.
October 23 The U.S. Senate passes H.R. 3043, FY08 Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill by a vote of 75-19.
October 17 Representatives Tom Udall (D-NM) and Phil English (R-PA) introduced H.R. 3881, The Promotion of Artistic Giving Act of 2007 (PAGA).
September 25 H.R. 1312, the Arts Require Timely Service Act (ARTS), reported out of Immigration Subcommittee.
September 24 The House Ways & Means Committee held an oversight hearing on whether charitable organizations serve the needs of diverse communities.
September 10 The House Education & Labor Committee held a hearing, "Miller/McKeon Discussion Draft of ESEA Reauthorization" and reviewed new proposals relating to the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).
July 19 The U.S. House of Representatives approved the FY08 Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill by a vote of 276-140.
June 21 Senate Appropriations Committee markup of FY 2008 Interior & Labor-Health-Education spending bills.
June 19 Senate Interior Appropriations Subcommittee markup of FY 2008 spending bill.
June 19 Senate Labor-Health-Education Appropriations Subcommittee markup of FY 2008 spending bill.
