First Lady Michelle Obama bestowed the National Arts and Humanities Youth Awards to 12 after-school youth arts programs from across the country at the White House today. With great pride, she shared that "these remarkable programs are exposing young people to new perspectives, improving academic achievement, and increasing college readiness."
