National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) chair Rocco Landesman has been working to broaden the grant guidelines of other federal agencies to include provisions for arts and culture. On Wednesday the first great success of this work, in the form of new funding opportunities for the arts community, was announced in partnership with the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD). Two new grants will now be available to city and county governments to create more livable communities through the arts.
