In 2003, the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts honored Senator Judd Gregg with the Government Leadership in the Arts Award citing that he “spoke out in favor of continuing federal funding for the National Endowment for the Arts when it was controversial to do so and subsequently voted for increases in its appropriations including, for Fiscal Year 2004, an increase of $7 million over last year, 40 percent of which will be distributed among the states.”
Now, Gregg is receiving an F for his arts voting record for 2009 and 2010. Gregg has chosen not to run for re-election this year - hopefully whoever fills his seat follows his 2003 example instead of his recent example.
