$7.9 billion in CARES Act Funding Helps Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation Sector

The Small Business Administration preliminary reports indicate that the arts, entertainment and recreation sector has received at least $7.9 billion in federal relief. An additional $300 million is provided through the federal cultural agencies as grants to nonprofit arts and humanities organizations. We don't have numbers yet on the amount of pandemic unemployment compensation to individual gig workers or the amount of SBA emergency disaster loans awarded to small businesses through the CARES Act.
